Spouse of Malaysian citizen can apply for Permanent Residence (PR) after five (5) years of successful marriage. In order to obtain approval for PR, one must apply for Entry Permit first. Once Entry Permit is approved, applicants are required to visit the National Registration Department (NRD) within 30 days of approval to apply for MyPR Kad (Red Identification Card).

- Family / wedding photo
- Passport size photo of Malaysian spouse
- Passport (since first entry into Malaysia)
- Passport of Malaysian spouse (if marriage was registered overseas – with exit & entry stamp)
- Police report with Declaration Letter for any lost document
- Payment receipt of first spouse visa
- Identification card of Malaysian spouse
- Sponsorship Letter
- Proof of employment / business
